Disinsection is a complex of measures for destruction of harmful insects in empty warehouses, silos and processing plants. It can be performed by wet, aerosol or gas method.

By the wet disinsection the objects are treated with contact pesticides - by water solutions or emulsions. Using spraying machines pesticides are applied on the treated surfaces dispersed on small droplets. An important condition for this method is a contact between pesticides and pests. This is possible only at good mechanical pre-cleaning of the surfaces.

The aerosol disinsection is more effective than the wet and it is applied indoors at cold or hot method. At applying this method very small droplets are suspended in the air for long period and the method is suitable against flying insects and moths. The applied aerosols are aerial dispersion system. Depending on how they are initiated the aerosols are mechanical, thermo mechanical and flue (smoky). As at the wet disinsection, at the aerosol is required very good mechanical pre-cleaning of the surfaces.

Gas disinsection is the most effective method, but its application is possible only in sites with very good pressurization. It is necessary an additional sealing by masking all the windows and doors with wrapping paper and plastic wrap. Аt this method of disinsection is used gas phosphine (hydrogen phosphate). It is a colorless gas with a smell of carbide, garlic and ammonia. It highly oxidizes copper objects and copper wires and is therefore not used in feed mills and factories. This gas is a strong poison. Before using it always turn off the electricity from outside, because of risk of fire.
